That’s right, Wiz Khalifa just beat out Terrible Meets Evil, Huge Sean, Foster The People, and Scotty McCreery for the title of Top New Artist!
The rapper, clearly overwhelmed with such an accolade, thanked his fans, management team, and fiance Amber Rose during his acceptance speech!
Congratulations, boy!

Carrie Underwood brought her husband Mike Fisher as her date to the Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas this evening. She dressed up in a sparkly Oscar de la Renta ball gown and accessorized with a pink jeweled clutch. Carrie is performing at tonight’s show, which is being hosted by Modern Family‘s Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen. It’s been a busy few weeks for Carrie, who released her album Blown Away earlier this month.

The NAACP Announces Support Of Same-Sex Marriage!

Two weeks after President Barack Obama announced his support of gay marriage, the NAACP has followed suit, and announced that their board of directors voted to endorse the civil right yesterday!
NAACP President & CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous said in a statement:
“Civil marriage is a civil right and a matter of civil law. The NAACP’s support for marriage equality is deeply rooted in the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution and equal protection of all people.”
And Chairman of the Board of Directors Roslyn M. Brock continued:
“The mission of the NAACP has always been to ensure the political, social and economic equality of all people. We have and will oppose efforts to codify discrimination into law.”

And in response to the announcement, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Executive Director Rea Carey said:
“We are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with the NAACP working together on the many issues that affect all of our lives. Whether it be honest access to education and jobs, an end to voter suppression and racial profiling, the right to like and be who we are free of discrimination — these issues affect all of us, our families and our country. Today the NAACP did what it does so well — inspires and affirms our common humanity.”

Report: Nick Stahl Checks Into Rehab Center
0Having recently reached out to friends and family after being reported missing for over a week, Nick Stahl has entered rehab to get professional help, according to his wife.
In a report place out by E! News on Sunday (May 20), the “Terminator 3″ actor’s bride, Rose Stahl, confirmed that Nick had checked in to a treatment center the previous evening.
According to Rose, the 32 year-ancient sent an “unemotional and unapologetic e-mail” on Friday night explaining that he was okay and was plotting on entering a 30-day program that night, adding that he would make future arrangements to get his clothes.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the actor’s wife originally contacted the LAPD on Monday, May 14th, as she filed a missing person’s report and believed that substance abuse had something to do with his disappearance.

Kanye & Jay-Z’s UK Party Night Kim, Rihanna & Gwyneth
0Kicking off their European tour run in the UK, Jay-Z and Kanye West unwound following a concert in London on Saturday night (May 19) by throwing a ‘Watch The Throne’ tour London show after party at DSTRKT.
The hip-hop hitmakers threw the lavish bash as they’re slated to perform the next three nights at London’s O2 Arena before heading to Switzerland with ten shows following before tour’s end on June 13th in Birmingham.
As for the star-laden after party, Kanye turned up to DSTRKT with his black dress clad E! reality star girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, on his arm.
Enjoying being able to spend time with her man on the road, Kim tweeted a pic of two plates of gourmet food with shiny gold and silver utensils atop to go with a message reading, “Meal with my baby on the throne before the show!”
With Kim’s brother Rob also turning up with his new lady, Rita Ora, other star power int he house at DSTRKT included Jay’s Coldplay rocker pal Chris Martin, who was joined by his actress wife Gwyneth Paltrow and designer friend Stella McCartney.
Topping off the list of ‘Watch the Throne partygoers was the always-gorgeous Rihanna, who certainly sounds as if she had an eventful evening – though she’s having distress remembering it.

0Enjoying his time with fellow celebrity friends, Gerard Butler was spotted partaking in numerous festivities at the Cannes Film Festival this weekend.
On Saturday (May 19), the “Bounty Hunter” hunk looked dapper in a grey suit paired with a light pink undershirt as he made his way into the festival, while giving a wave and smile to the nearby photographers.
The 42-year-ancient actor’s Saturday afternoon activities came just after the Scottish actor got all dressed up in a tux and bow tie on Friday evening (May 18) to attend the Haiti Carnival festival with other A-listers including, Sean Penn and Jada Pinkett Smith.
While inside the Armani presented event, which benefited J/P HRO Artists for Peace and Justice & Pleased Hearts Fund, the sexy “300″ star was spotted laughing and chatting it up with friends, while giving a go at a traditional Haitian music instrument.
The annual festival, which previews new films of all genres including documentaries from around the world, started last week and will continue through May 27.

Eva Longoria was on a boat last night to party the evening away at Cannes. Her boyfriend of over a year, Eduardo Cruz, jetted to France as well to get in on the film festival fun. Eva’s been making the rounds in the South of France as one of L’Oreal’s brand ambassadors. Yesterday was a busy one for Eva, since she recorded an interview for France’s Le Grand Journal and a pre-taped spot for The Today Show. For the latter chat, Eva donned a dress designed by her “dear friend” Victoria Beckham. Eduardo’s been in town with her since the start of the festival. On Wednesday night, he tweeted a picture of fireworks with the caption “like it!”
