Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, and Rachel Bilson Bring the Heat to the CW Upfronts

The CW is the latest network to unveil their Fall TV lineup and this morning network executives were joined in NYC by some of their largest stars: Rachel Bilson, Ian Somerhalder, and Nina Dobrev. Rachel’s Hart of Dixie is coming back for a second season in its Tuesday time slot while Nina and Ian’s Vampire Diaries is also retuning to its 9 p.m. Thursday home. A few CW shows won’t be on next season’s schedule though, like Sarah Michelle Gellar‘s Ringer and the high school supernatural drama, The Secret Circle.
Hoping to fill the holes in their prime-time lineup, the CW announced the pickup of freshman shows Emily Owens, M.D., Beauty and the Beast, Arrow, Cult, and the highly anticipated Sex and the City prequel, The Carrie Diaries. You’ll have to wait until 2013 to see AnnaSophia Robb starring in The Carrie Diaries and mid-season drama Cult, but you can get a look at all the new shows before they debut in our CW Fall TV sneak peek!

Twilight The Host Is More Than Just A Love Triangle Between Aliens

Saoirse Ronan plays Melanie AND an alien called “Wanderer” in the movie adaptation of Stephanie Meyer‘s other book, Alien Twilight The Host.
The film’s star LIKES the tale. She likes it SO much, that she claims acting in the plot forwarding scenes (and NOT making out with two hot dudes) is the best part of her gig!
The serious actress claims:
“It’s a given at this stage that romantic tales are going to be offered to me but I’m more interested in the tale and characters. It’s just not vital if there are like scenes in it.”
Apparently what really got Saoirse interested in the part was challenge of playing TWO characters! She says:
“I have two different characters who are in like with different men…The excellent thing was that I got on so well with Max and Jake. I knew them both before we started filming and we were very comfortable working together.”
Comfortable enough to have hawt lurve scenes with?? LOL!

Lauren Conrad Heads Off on a Solo Trip From LAX

Lauren Conrad wheeled her luggage behind her yesterday when she checked in for a flight out of LAX. LC’s on the go again, though her rumored new boyfriend wasn’t photographed going along for the journey. According to reports, Lauren Conrad’s dating William Tell, an LA-based law student at the University of Southern California. The out-of-town trip came following a busy week for Lauren. Lauren shared her schedule on her personal blog, recounting how the last few days have been full of work. She shot the holiday lookbook for her Paper Crown line, and even started Bikini Boot Camp! Lauren still managed to fit in some fun with friends and hours catching up on sleep.

Lea Michele & Cory Monteith Pre-Glee Finale Affection in NYC
0Having just wrapped up filming their hit show’s third season, co-star couple Lea Michele and Cory Monteith headed east as they were spotted together in New York City on Wednesday (May 16).
The “Glee” duo lovingly held hands as they wandered about the streets of Manhattan while popping into a few stores during the midweek shopping excursion.
As for Lea and Cory’s series’ upcoming finale episode – the season closer will focus on the graduating seniors and what kind of plans are ahead of them after they leave William McKinley High School.
Monteith, who plays one of the departing students, told Entertainment Tonight, ” We’re all really enjoying every single moment of what we’re doing because it’s not going to be like this again.”
Meanwhile, fellow castmate Jenna Ushkowitz added similar sentiments, saying, “I know that we’ll see the choir room again, but it’s certainly going to be a different vibe, a different energy.”
With a behind the scenes look available in the player above, the “Glee” finale episode dubbed ‘Goodbye’ is all set to air on Tuesday, May 22 at 8/7c on FOX.

The 65th Cannes Film Festival is underway, and jurors like Diane Kruger and Ewan McGregor gathered this morning on the Croisette for a kickoff photocall. Diane posed for the assembled press in a chic, laced-up Versus by Versace number, but by the evening, had changed into a cool blue gown for the opening gala premiere of Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom. She shared the red carpet with other starlets like Jessica Chastain, L’Oréal brand ambassador Eva Longoria, and Bruce Willis.
There was plenty more going on today as well. Moonrise costars Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, and Jason Schwartzman had a photocall, and Sacha Baron Cohen arrived at the festival as The Dictator, on a camel, and later horsed around on a yacht with Elisabetta Canalis. His real-life wife, Isla Fisher, was off doing interviews with her Rise of the Guardians costars Chris Pine and Alec Baldwin. Billy Bob Thornton Talks Angelina Jolie Regrets
0He’s not the most traditional celebrity, and Billy Bob Thornton confessed he made a huge boo-boo when it came to his marriage with super-hottie Angelina Jolie.
The “Monster’s Ball” star noted that he struggled to reckon he was “excellent enough for her” and finally just “blew it.”
Thornton clarified, “She has one way she wanted to live her life and I had another way to live mine. I was just too insecure. I felt like the Phantom of the Opera hiding in the catacombs. People really said that I didn’t deserve to be with her.”
“When you’re in a relationship, any two celebrities or whatever, you know, I reckon that puts on a lot of pressure. When Angie and I got married, during that time, I was more well-known than she was to start with and then she becomes this huge thing, it’s hard in these relationships.”
“We had a fantastic marriage and I chickened out because I didn’t feel excellent enough. That’s all that happened. It was no huge deal, we never despised each other,” he added.
