It couldn’t have been simple!
Olivia Wilde has opened up about her divorce from Tao Ruspoli, whom the 27-year-ancient married when she was just 18, and reveals that after everything was finalized, it took her a while to feel better – but in the end, it made her a better actress!
She clarifies:
“When you go through a breakup, you lose faith for a while. It makes you feel like such a failure, but I reckon this whole traumatic year has made me a better actor. And the excellent thing about getting divorced young – if there is a excellent thing – is that it makes you realize there’s no schedule in life. It blasts you wide open and frees you to be honest with yourself. The danger [with marrying young] is that you evolve over the years and find yourself in a different place. Tao was, and is, really involved with his work, and for me there’s nothing sexier than a man who is busy and obsessed with what he’s doing. I guess I saw that in my parents’ marriage. They had real respect for their work and for each other.”
Very vital qualities to find in a mate, we reckon!
Respect is so, SO vital!
And even though one marriage came to an end, she can take the lessons she learned the first time around and apply them to whatever relationship she embarks upon when the time comes!

Brad Pitt Breaks From Press to Exercise His Artful Eye

Brad Pitt stopped by the Lehmann Maupin Gallery to check out their Sandro Kopp exhibit in NYC last night. Sandro is a German artist and the boyfriend of Tilda Swinton, who worked with Brad on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Burn After Reading. Brad’s been making the rounds chatting up Moneyball in the Huge Apple all week including a stop by the Today show and The Daily Show. He also visited Pace University to tape an episode of Inside the Actors Studio, which will air on Feb. 10.
Brad opened up about his family life in the interview by sharing a glimpse into their morning routine with the kids saying, “Listen, I admit there’s times like ‘We gotta get up. Get up! Here’s your shoes. Here’s your shoes. Drink this Coke. Drink this Coca-Cola. Drink it all. Right now! Drink it! Drink it! Drink it!’ Just so we could get ‘em up and going.” He’ll continue to be in the spotlight since he and Moneyball are up for Oscars, though we’ll have to wait until the huge show on Feb. 26 to see more of Brad and Angelina Jolie’s hot red-carpet moments.

Kirsten Dunst and Lizzy Caplan hit the red carpet together to premiere their female-driven comedy Bachelorette at the Sundance Film Festival last night. The girls stuck together for the arrivals interviews and chatted about their own experiences in friends’ bridal parties – though apparently there are no crazy bachelorette tales from their real lives. Kirsten’s boyfriend, Garrett Hedlund, snuck in right behind her, skipping the press but supporting his girl. James Marsden joked about how much fun he had playing an “unapologetic douchebag” in the film, which apparently pushes the envelope of the dark wedding comedy. Afterwards, the cast hit up their afterparty at TAO.

George won their shared category, but Brad’s Moneyball went on to win the best adapted screenplay honor for writers Steven Zaillian, Aaron Sorkin, and Stan Chervin. George was able to toast his victory with girlfriend Stacy Keibler, who looked fantastic in a white Armani gown, but Brad was rolling solo for the evening. Angelina Jolie skipped out on the show, opting instead to do a live web chat supporting her directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey.
