Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson and his family of vampires abandon the town of Forks, Washington, in an attempt to shield her from the dangers inborn in their world. As the despairing Bella blindly walks through her senior year of high school, unfeeling and alone, she realizes Edward’s image always comes to her each time she puts herself in danger. Her yearning to be with him at any cost finds her taking greater risks.

Taylor Lautner plays Jacob Black, her childhood friend who chose to help Bella in her quest. Bella restores an ancient motorbike as a reliable means of transportation. Bella’s cold heart is increasingly melted by her burgeoning relationship with Jacob, a member of the mysterious Quileute tribe and is a werewolf in reality. In a race against time, Bella discovers the secret of the Quileutes and Edward’s right impulse for leaving her.

New Moon (marketed as The Twilight Saga: New Moon) is a 2009 American romantic fantasy film. It is based on the novel of the same name by Stephenie Meyer and is the sequel to 2008’s Twilight, which is based on Meyer’s previous novel. Summit Entertainment greenlit the sequel in late November 2008, following the early success of Twilight. Directed by Chris Weitz, the film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner,reprising their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black, respectively. Melissa Rosenberg, who handed in a draft of the film script during the opening weekend of Twilight, returns as the screenwriter for the second installment as well.

On her 18th birthday, Bella Swan wakes up from a dream in which she sees herself as an ancient woman. She expresses her distaste with growing older than her boyfriend Edward Cullen, a vampire who stopped aging at 17. Edward’s adoptive family throws Bella a birthday party. While unwrapping a gift, Bella gets a paper cut, which causes Edward’s brother, Jasper, to be overwhelmed by her blood’s scent and attempt to kill her. Realizing the danger he and his family pose to Bella, Edward decides to end their relationship, and the Cullens go away from Forks, Washington.

Edward’s departure leaves Bella heartbroken and depressed for months. But, when her father, Charlie, attempts to send her to live with her mother, Bella agrees to spend time with her friends. After seeing a movie with Jessica, Bella sees a group of men who remind her of a time when Edward rescued her previously, and she is surprised to see a vision of Edward warning her against approaching them. Bella discovers that all thrill-seeking activities grant her visions of Edward. She also finds comfort in her deepening friendship with Jacob Black, a cheerful companion who eases her pain over losing Edward. When Jacob is unable to see Bella for weeks, she discovers that he is a werewolf, an age-ancient enemy of vampires. Jacob’s pack members are on constant patrol for Victoria, a vampire searching to kill Bella, leaving Jacob small time to spend with Bella. Alone, Bella returns to seeking thrill-inducing activities.

A series of miscommunications leads Edward to believe that Bella has killed herself while cliff-diving. Distraught over her supposed suicide, Edward flees to Italy to provoke the Volturi, a powerful coven of vampires who are capable of killing him. Alice, Edward’s sister, and Bella rush to Italy to save Edward, and arrive just in time to stop him. But, the Volturi choose that Bella, a human who knows that vampires exist, must either be killed or transformed into a vampire herself. Alice stops them from killing her by showing them a vision of the future in which Bella has been transformed. Once they return home to Forks, Edward tells Bella that he has always loved her and only left town to protect her. She forgives him, and the Cullens vote in favor of Bella being transformed into a vampire, to Edward and Jacob’s dismay. Edward gives Bella a choice: either she lets Alice change her after their graduation, or, if Bella agrees to marry him, he will change her himself. But, Jacob reminds them of a treaty the Cullens have made with the werewolves: they will not attack each other, as long as the Cullens never bite a human.

New Moon is the next edition in the Twilight series sees a whole new side of Jacob who we were introduced to in Twilight. Of course everything is not normal in the hometown of Forks. Vampires are real, and now so are Werewolves.

Jacob Black, who is Billy’s son didn’t know that the tales about their ancestors are really right. You may have seen the New Moon trailer, and can see Jacob transforming into a werewolf because its in his blood line.

Since there was a change in the directors from Twilight to New Moon, I’m assuming this movie would be much better laid out than the first. I loved Twilight, don’t get me incorrect, but the Twilight didn’t have that fantastic acting in it. I preferred the book way over the movie.

Stephenie Meyer (born December 24, 1973) is the well-known American author of the Twilight book series. The Twilight series consists of four novels – New Moon is the second Twilight book.

Initially when Stephenie Meyer completed Twilight, she started writing a sequel titled Forever Dawn. Meyer was said to be aiming at a more adult audience with her second Twilight book, which was to tell the tale of the main protagonist Bella Swan after she had left high school. But once it was confirmed Twilight would be published and marketed as a novel for young-adults, she chose to start a new sequel also aimed at younger adults – New Moon.

The 608 page hardcover of New Moon was subsequently published in September 2006 by publisher Small, Brown Books. It immediately became a bestseller.

**SPOILER** The tale of New Moon follows Bella immediately following events of Twilight. Edward Cullen and his family choose to leave forks, primarily because he believes his presence will bring danger to Bella. Bella develops a close friendhip with Jacob Black as she struggles with Edward’s departure. But, despite Edward’s best intentions Bella is not safe as Victoria, a vampire, comes for her to avenge the death of James (killed at the end of Twilight). She discovers Jacob is a werewolf who, together with his fellow werewolves, fights to protect her. But Edward mistakenly learns she is dead and, in his own grief, heads to Volterra, Italy, where he plans to commit suicide. But, Bella learns of this and, aided by Edward’s sister Alice, travels there to stop him. In Volterra they come face to face with a powerful coven of vampires, the Volturi, who only allow them to return to Forks alive on one condition: Bella must (in the future) be turned into a vampire.

Society seems to always be in like with mysteries, like tales, excellent and evil. It also helps to have hot new actors and actresses. The wear wolf and vampires has been around for centuries in movies and legends. Plus the technologies available to day make it all seem so real. The entertainment companies are always trying to come with the next huge box office hit. Well the Twilight Saga has caught a lot of critics off guard. What I mean by that, is I haven’t read very positive remarks at all. But the box of is busting out. It is loved by young teenage girls at the most, and those that have read all of the books are defintely putting this one down. It and the cast have become stars overnight. Everyone likes a tale about excellent and evil, and throw in romance that makes all small girls falling like with their new found movie star.

My wife always gets on the Internet to see what the critics give movies before she plans to go watch it, but us guys are intrigued by the trailers that are place out, along with most people. The trailers are just enough to get your excitement about a movie and want to go see it. Kind of like the back of a novel that gives you just enough information for you to buy the book.

Today with everything being so commercialized, companies have found a way to place products out that will compliment a movie with posters, figurines, trinkets, well you name it they can come up with it. I am sure it started way back, but I reckon the Star War era really kicked it off with all of their products, but the oldest marketer that I can reckon of is probably Walt Disney and all of their characters. But I remember back when my children were infants, which thy are now in 30’s I took them to see sesamestreet live, and the products they were selling were kind of cute. I remember sitting there and thinking if everyone in here bought even the cheapest item, well the company would make alot just form those items. Being a parent it was hard to say no to a child when all you want them to do is remember the experience.
