To quote Detective Roger Murtaugh from Lethal Weapon, “I’m getting too ancient for this ****.” In just eighteen months, the Twilight saga has subjected us to one atrocious film, one (barely) passable film, and a film which makes ‘passable’ seem like a dream objective. Eclipse, the third instalment of the series, is the latter. It takes us from the “meh” of New Moon, to complete “ugh”. Whereas the previous entry seemed to have learnt some lessons from the unwatchable first film of the series (namely: having character arcs, embracing the rampant angst of undersexed teens), Eclipse is content to fall back on the saga’s terrible habits. It wastes the time of all the talent involved, not to mention that of the audience. It is a sequel that not only picks up exactly where the previous movie finished, but concludes there as well. It is a film so ideologically devoted to abstinence that it denies its viewer any kind of satisfaction. I kind of feel like Bella, begging her vampire beau Edward for some nookie. “Will you please just give me something already?!”

A quick summation of the cast for the upcoming NEW MOON starts out with Jamie Campbell-Bower. He’s the British actor from Sweeney Todd who’s set to play head vampire Caius. According to reports, Jamie had to do a bit of research for the film because he hadn’t read the Twilight series. Michael Sheen was team Jacob in Underworld but he has switched sides and will now play the vital role of Aro. The third leader of the volturi, Marcus, will be played by Christopher Heyerdahl. Canadian actress and model, Noot Seear, will be playing the vampire role of Heidi. 15-year-ancient Dakota Fanning will be taking on young vampire Jane for NEW MOON and Cameron Bright will be Alec. Chaske Spencer will be acting as Sam Uley. He’s from DreamKeeper, Red Dead Revolver and Skins. Some newer stars to Hollywood, Tyson Houseman will described Quil and Kiowa Gordon will play Embry. Alex Meraz, from One Journey, The New World and Two Spirits, is all set for the role of Paul. Bronson Pelletier will act as Jared and finally, Tinsel Korey from ‘Mothers & Daughters’ will play Emily. (MUST READ!) The official(real not fake) wolf pack poster was released last night by USA Today. This is the FIRST movie poster released by Summit. Notice the symolic(?) tattoo they all have on their left shoulders. One word-HOT! Also I added some new sets learned in Canada. (I OWN NOTHING, ALL PICTURES BELONG TO THEIR RIGHTFUL OWNERS. NO COPYRIGHT INFRAGAMENT INTENDED.) -The pool with the green screen around it is the cliff diving set. -Bella’s house, they constructed -The Cullen house -and the forest pictures, is the medow scene, and the metal grate, is a screen used possibly for a dream sequence.
