The Twilight Book Series – Reasons To Read The Twilight Collection
0The Twilight Book Series – Reasons To Read The Twilight Collection
If you are a fantastic lover of mysterious and fantasy literature, you ought to get your hands on the Twilight book collection. This particular collection contains 4 books published by Stephenie Meyer, 3 of which have been adapted into films and also DVDs.
The books that make up the complete series have titles that are small and sweet. Each title makes sense once you start reading the books and learn more about the tales. They are called:
Twilight
New Moon
Eclipse
Breaking Dawn
Now these four different novels follow the lives of two particular people. They are young teenagers. Their names are Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. There are many other characters in the books but these two are the primary people in the tales.
We are briefly introduced to them and then told how they initially met, the way they are attracted to one another as well as all the factors that make this romance distinctly different compared to the sort of relationships that other people have.
The style associated with these sorts of books is usually known as Gothic fantasy. These novels could therefore be described as an epic Gothic like tale mainly because we find out that Edward Cullen is really a vampire and that he will never get older than his teenage years. Really, he should not be so attracted to the young Bella because she is human. As a vampire she should really be seen as his enemy or at least as his prey. But we soon learn that Edward belongs to a family who do not feed on the blood of humans in order to survive. This adds another fascinating twist to the tale.
If you are interested in reading something that is a small more than a simple like tale, or if you are looking for an fascinating gift thought then the Twilight collection of books would be a very excellent buy. You can get a fantastic bargain if you shop online. You can also buy the film versions of two of the books. These are Twilight the movie and the New Moon film.

Complete Twilight Book Series
Stephenie Meyer – The Twilight Saga
Twilight is a series of vampire-based fantasy/romance/horror novels by American author Stephenie Meyer. It follows the adventures of Isabella Swan, a teenager who moves to Forks, Washington and finds her life turned upside-down when she falls in like with a vampire named Edward Cullen.
The series is currently one of the most well loved books written for young adults, with 50 million copies sold worldwide and over 7.7 million copies sold in the U.S. alone. The series has been translated into over 20 different languages around the world.
Film Adaptation: A screenplay for Twilight was written by Melissa Rosenberg and has been adapted into a film by Summit Entertainment. The film is being directed by Catherine Hardwicke, with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in the leading roles of Isabella Swan and Edward Cullen, respectively. It is set to be released on November 21, 2008.
Book 1 – Twilight (2005)
Twilight is a young adult vampire novel written by author Stephenie Meyer, originally published in hardcover in 2005. It is the first book of the Twilight series, and introduces seventeen-year-ancient Isabella “Bella” Swan who moves from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington, and finds her life in danger when she falls in like with a vampire, Edward Cullen.
Book 2 – New Moon (2006)
Legions of readers entranced by Twilight are hungry for more and they won’t be disappointed. In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. The “star-crossed” lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find themselves facing new obstacles, including a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of perilous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy’s reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire like saga is well on its way to literary immortality.
Book 3 – Eclipse (2007)
Readers captivated by Twilight and New Moon will keenly devour Eclipse, the much anticipated third book in Stephenie Meyer’s riveting vampire like saga. As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her like for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her choice has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more choice to make: life or death. But which is which?
Book 4 – Breaking Dawn (2008)
Breaking Dawn is the fourth and last novel in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. Divided into three ‘books’, the tale is told from the perspective of Bella Swan, except for Book Two which is from the perspective of Jacob Black, Bella’s werewolf friend. Breaking Dawn was released on August 2, 2008 with a special midnight release in many bookstores.
Book 5 – The Host
Stephenie Meyer, creator of the phenomenal teen-vamp Twilight series, takes paranormal romance into alien territory in her first adult novel. Those wary of sci-fi or teen angst will be pleasantly surprised by this mature and imaginative thriller, propelled by equal parts action and emotion. A species of altruistic parasites has peacefully assumed control of the minds and bodies of most humans, but feisty Melanie Stryder won’t surrender her mind to the alien soul called Wanderer. Overwhelmed by Melanie’s memories of fellow resistor Jared, Wanderer yields to her body’s longing and sets off into the desert to find him. Likely the first like triangle involving just two bodies, it’s unabashedly romantic, and the characters (human and alien) genuinely endearing.
Also Included the Partial Draft of Stephenie Meyer’s “Midnight Sun“, which is Twilight from Edward Cullen’s point of view, revealing details of his own life and existance that were to us unknown, since all the other books are told from Bella’s perspective.

Saros Series: Eclipses Belong to Saros Cycles
0Saros Series: Eclipses Belong to Saros Cycles
Eclipses don’t just occur in the sky as one-off events. As Bernadette Brady notes “each eclipse is a member of a family and each family has characteristics. They belong to larger patterns called Saros cycles and those cycles have a beginning and thus a chart for the moment of this beginning, the first eclipse.” This whole cycle may well take well over twelve hundred years to unfold, producing eclipses once every 18 years. We should keep in mind that eclipses always come in pairs. After the first one of the pair takes place the next one occurs roughly two weeks after.
There are many Saros cycles in operation at any one time, thus we get two to four solar eclipses a year but these individual eclipses that happen in any one year will all come from different families, different Saros Series. For example the cycle which produces the eclipse on Monday 19 March, 2007 started in 1664 and has produced eclipses on the following dates in the following degrees of the zodiac:
February 1971 – 6 Pisces
March 1989 – 17 Pisces
March 2007 – 28 Pisces
This solar eclipse is known as Saros Series 9 New North (Jansky system of naming eclipses) and on 19th March 2007 it occurs at 28 degrees Pisces. So have a look at your chart and see if you have anything at late mutable degrees. If so, it will have a much more personalized meaning for you as it is actively engaging with a theme or issue that you are running in your life.
The birth chart of Saros Series 9 New North, born 21 August 1664, has a Venus-Mercury conjunction on the Mars/Pluto midpoint and Mars on the Uranus/Pluto midpoint in its birth chart. Thus this whole series has a strongly physical component to its expression. This can range from struggling with a new sport or your first yoga class to minor accidents, so if it is aspecting a theme in your chart, then it is better to consider how you can use such energy positively.
Another example is the very recent annular Solar Eclipse on February 7th 2008 at 18 degrees Aquarius in Saros Series 10 North and Total Lunar Eclipse on 21st February 2008 at 2 degrees Virgo.
Bernadette Brady, in her book on the subject Predictive Astrology, says of this Eclipse series that there is a strong emphasis on communication. Though setbacks may occur with frustrations and restrictions. The energy is generally low and drained, so a excellent time to take life quietly and not take too much on board at once.

The Top 10 Best Vampire Book Series
0
Not too long ago Anne Rice was the queen of vampire fiction with her creation of the legendary Lestat. But, in the past few years Stephenie Meyer with her Twilight Saga, Charlaine Harris with Right Blood, and other authors with their vampire creations have stormed the best seller charts. But what are the most well loved series with the legions of online vamp lit fans?
The top ten most well loved (based on online chatter) vampire book series are:
10. Riley Jensen Guardian by Keri Arthur
9. Anita Blake Vampire Hunter by Laurell K. Hamilton
8. The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice
7. The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine
6. Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber
5. The Darren Shan Saga by Darren Shan
4. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
3. The House of Night by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast
2. The Southern Vampire Mysteries / Sookie Stackhouse Novels / Right Blood Series by Charlaine Harris
…and the most well loved Vampire Lit Series is no surprise…
1. The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer
Not quite making the top ten were Night Huntress by Jeaniene Frost, Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith, Undead and … by MaryJanice Davidson, Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz, Vampire Beach by Alex Duval, Night World by L.J. Smith, Nikki and Michael by Keri Arthur, Mackenzie Vampires by Nina Bangs, and Nearly Human by Melanie Nowak. The top two series on this list have also been adapted for the screen, with the wildly well loved Twilight Saga movies and Right Blood television series on HBO. This can have only helped their dominance in this poll. While fantastic literature does not need to be adapted for the screen, it will clearly raise awareness of a series and bring in a whole new group of fans. A Darren Shan motion picture (Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant) will be released in late 2009. Both House of Night and Vampire Academy films or TV adaptations are nearly inevitable, although neither seem to be even close to production. If the new CW Network TV series based on L. J. Smith’s Vampire Diaries is a hit, then those novels are bound to be in the top ten for my next vamp lit poll. And, finally, it is lovely to see that modern vampire literature icon and pioneer Anne Rice made the list, even if she was not in the top five. Oddly, only two of Anne Rice’s novels (Interview with the Vampire and The Queen of the Damned) were ever turned into feature films.
I compiled this list by searching for each of the vampire book series on a number of search engines and ranking them by the number of web pages, discussion forums, photos, videos, etc that are available online. Read more about vampires at SpookyFiles.com.

The Twilight Book Series
0
The Twilight book series has overtaken Harry Potter as the new sensation among preteens, and the teens and adults who still delight in reading books aimed at younger people. With the first book being made into a blockbuster movie the series is starting to attract even more attention. The movie will only tell the tale of the first book but there are three books after that (and another one on the way!)
The first book is titled simply Twilight and it sets up the tale of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. At it’s heart this is a tale about the unlikely budding romance between Bella and Edward. What makes it so unlikely? Edward is a vampire who is over 100 years ancient (although that’s really quite young for a vampire!) Bella on the other hand is just a 17 year ancient girl. But while Edward is over 100 years ancient, he looks 17 too and he will look 17 forever because that’s how ancient he was when he became a vampire. Yes, that’s how it works!
The second, third, and fourth books are called New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. I do not want to give a synopsis of each book as that would be giving too much away.
There is a fifth novel plotted by author Stephanie Meyer. The 5th book isn’t really an extension of the tale but rather a different point of view of the tale. The four books are told through the point of view of Bella and Breaking Dawn will tell that same tale through the eyes of Edward.
While that’s an fascinating literary device (have you ever read The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner?) it does seem unlikely to be ripe for a film adaptation but perhaps if the Twilight movies do as well as the Harry Potter movies, the movie studios will go ahead with it anyway!
The movie version of Twilight stars Robert Pattinson as the vampire Edward and Kristen Stewart as Bella. Robert Pattinson has become a heart throb for many young girls (and some older girls who should really know better.)
Pattinson first gained attention as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Kristen Stewart has been in movies such as 2002′s Panic Room (she was Jodie Foster’s daughter) and 2007′s Into the Wild (which is a very excellent movie by the way.)
If you delight in “young adult” fiction and in particular romantic young adult fiction then you may very well delight in these books. They will not be for everyone that loved Harry Potter (which I reckon has a wider audience) but if you do like the Harry Potter books that may be an indication you would like these books as well.
Marvin J. Markus recommends you check out this blog on Twilight The Movie. You can find Twilight Posters for sale on EBay. Some of them have even been signed by the stars of the movie.
