Hoda Kotb Makes Matt Lauer Kind Of Likable! Should She Replace Savannah Guthrie On The Today Show?
0Have you guys been watching the Today show lately? Because it has really been pretty excellent watchable!
It might have something to do with Hoda Kotb, who is temporarily filling in for Savannah Guthrie and has somehow done the impossible and made Matt Lauer likable-ish!
So naturally we have to question, is she the answer to all of the Today show’s problems?
According to an insider at the show, Hoda is ADORED by the crew and her chemistry with the controversial anchor reminds them of the golden days when Katie Couric was still around:
“Hoda and Matt have a similar rapport and have been friends for many years. Hoda can do the hard hitting interviews and then transition easily into a cooking segment, and she just doesn’t take herself all that seriously. Viewers respond very well to that. Hoda absolutely wanted Ann’s job, but NBC News president Steve Capus believed that Savannah Guthrie would be a better fit.”
So did she end up being the better fit?
Based on what we’ve seen in the ratings, we’d have to say CERTAINLY not!
But the source says Savannah’s job is safe for now, and we probably should expect a shake-up anytime soon:
“There are no plans to replace Savannah with Hoda. She is doing a excellent job and growing in the position. It would just be to much drama to make such another drastic change in such a small time. Matt would be demonized all over again.”
Really?? We thought drama was the Today show’s middle name! Ha!
And with all of the negative vibes coming from Matt already, it’s hard to believe it could get any worse!
At this point, we reckon they should at least be CONSIDERING anything that might place the show back on top!

The Situation’s Jersey Co-Star Says He Should Have Been Sent To Rehab Three Years Ago!
0She may be known as the Staten Island Dump by everyone her housemates, but we really believe her on this one!
The Situation‘s small trip to rehab for alleged substance abuse certainly did not come as a surprise to former Jersey Shore castmember Angelina Pivarnick, who is frankly, surprised that he didn’t hit rock bottom earlier on in the series from the way he was doing cocaine!
She says:
“I don’t know how nobody caught on to him doing a mass amount of drugs! Obviously he’s been using the money…not for charity, and stuff like that to help kids out, to help people that are less fortunate…but using blow. He’s hideous! Popeye on crack. He deserves to freakin’ stay in rehab for the next 10 years! Please stay in the rehab and don’t come out! I can’t believe he didn’t go to rehab three years ago.”
Ouch! Well she certainly doesn’t mince words when it comes to him!
But like we said – after seeing the way he’s acted on camera the past few seasons, we certainly don’t reckon she’s just saying it to get back at him.
Scary, though, to reckon that this has been going on for quite some time and so many people knew about it!
Here’s hoping he’s getting the help he needs now.
The Fray’s Isaac Slade To Brandon Flowers: Your Mouth And My Fist Should Meet
0Whoa! Simple! Fighting is NEVER the answer, fellas!
Isaac Slade has some beef with Brandon Flowers after some comments The Killers singer made awhile back.
The Fray frontman says that he saw a Youtube video of Flowers trying to pump up a crowd while The Fray were recording Scars & Tales.
Brandon said, “Come on, stand up and dance. This isn’t a f*cking Fray show.”
For Slade, those are some fighting words and he’s not having any of it!
Slade said the following and promised to layeth the smacketh down on Flowers:
All I could do was laugh because that’s right – we do have a very thoughtful, sensitive crowd who don’t get to dance much. Still, I’ll pay Brandon back for picking on our fans. Next time I see him I’ll have to punch him in the mouth.
It sounds likes he’s joking, but we guess we’ll find out if they ever meet up!
Please don’t fight each other, guys!
