Ashley Greene Talks Hair and Skin Care Secrets
0Spending a final day in the Huge Apple before heading up north to the Toronto Film Festival, Ashley Greene was spotted making her way around the streets of New York City on Saturday afternoon (September 10).
The Alice Cullen actress looked cute in a black and white patterned mini dress, black flats and Wayfarer shades as she busily messaged on her iPhone during the NYC outing.
Always looking fabulous, Miss Greene spoke with ELLE during Fashion’s Night Out on Thursday (September
about topics regarding how she keeps up her seemingly flawless looks.
As for her blemish-free skin, Ashley told, “I know people are tired of hearing this, but I reckon the best thing to do is to drink tons of water, use moisturizer, and wear sunscreen. If you just take care of your skin, it’s a excellent base for makeup. That’s what I do because when my skin is completely clear it makes me feel more confident and gives me a glow that makeup can’t really emulate.”
Also questioned her secret to maintaining healthy hair under straining movie set work conditions, the 24-year-ancient said, “Well, I was really lucky with the Twilight movies because my hair was under a wig the whole time! I place conditioner in my hair before they applied it. My strands soaked up a lot of nourishment during all those hours of shooting!”

Nina Dobrev: “I’m Comfortable In My Own Skin”
0She’s one of the hottest young stars on the small screen, and Nina Dobrev was most recently selected as the covergirl for the Seventeen Fitness issue.
The “Vampire Diaries” hottie proudly strapped on an array of bikinis as she showed off her athletic abilities for the resulting stretch-laden pictorial spread.
In the accompanying interview, Miss Dobrev spoke about topics ranging from her favorite workout to not being obsessed with looks.
On her favorite way to work out: “I do a lot of yoga. I practice yoga three or four times a week. It’s an escape for me.”
On why she’s not obsessed with her looks: “People who are confident, pleased, enthusiastic, vivacious and vibrant are the ones other people are generally attracted to. You’re drawn to those kinds of people—you’re not drawn to the person in the corner of the room counting calories with her shoulders slumped over.”
On self-acceptance: “I’ve reached a point where I’m comfortable in my own skin, and I do what I need to do, to feel excellent, but I’m built the way I am. The dancer’s feet, the bruises on my legs, they’re not going to go away. I reckon real girls have bruises. Tough chicks get bruised. They get dirty. And they have fun. It’s just a part of life!”
On another possible career path: “I could be a yoga instructor. I’m not certified, but I could do it. Once I did a class where the instructor didn’t show up, and I just went to the front and did it, and everyone followed. So I’ve done it before, and I like it.”
