Naomi Watts Thanks Her Sons Sasha and Kai For “Breathing Life Into Me”

Naomi Watts was one of the Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala’s huge honorees last night. The actress is currently starring in The Impossible and was presented with her Desert Palm Achievement award by Tom Holland, the young actor who plays her son in the film. Naomi shared a heartwarming speech about Tom, the emotional role, and her own family. She thanked her longtime partner, Liev Schreiber, for “inspiring” her and she also shared some sweet words about her own two young sons.
SNL Recap: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Hosts, Mumford & Sons Perform
0Bringing the laughs to the long-running NBC show, Joseph Gordon-Levitt kicked off his hosting efforts with a “Magic Mike” inspired striptease on yesterday’s (September 22) episode of “Saturday Night Live”.
After a ‘Live with Kelly and Michael Cold Open’ to kick things off, the 31-year-ancient actor took the Studio 8H stage for his monologue while asking audience members, “You know what my favorite part of Magic Mike was?”
“This part!” Levitt proclaimed while proceeding to ditch his duds with the sounds of “It’s Raining Men” playing in the background.
During the course of the show, a favorite skit saw Levitt play the son of the ‘Most Fascinating Man in the World’ while filming a commercial for Tres Equis.
“It’s one Equis more than my dad’s beer, because he was never there for me,” Joseph told of his product. “Two parts Dos Equis, one part none of your business. Keep banging, my friends.”
Also well received was the ‘Weekend Update’ which saw Kate McKinnon as First Lady hopeful Ann Romney and Jay Pharoah as ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith.
Capping it all off, the Gordon-Levitt hosted installment of “Saturday Night Live” welcomed musical guest Mumford & Sons, who treated viewers to renditions of “Below My Feet” and “I Will Wait” during the course of the episode.
Ashley Tisdale’s Rough Day on the “Sons of Anarchy” Set
0It was a bit of a rough morning for Ashley Tisdale, who was spotted getting slapped and knocked to the ground while filming “Sons of Anarchy” in Los Angeles, California on Monday (June 25).
In a baggy black sweatshirt and rolled-up jeans, the former “High School Musical” star’s helmet came in handy when she was knocked off of a pink bike just before her co-star Charlie Hunnam pulled out a gun to protect her.
While on-set, Ashley tweeted her excitement prior to hopping in front of the cameras, writing, “@DanPovenmire doing 2 episodes! so excited because it’s my favorite show!”
Shying away from her usual kid-friendly roles, the 26-year-ancient is expected to appear in a pair of episodes on the television series as a high-priced prostitute.
“Sons of Anarchy” will premiere Tuesday, September 4 at 10/9c on FX.

As you all well know by now, Frank Darabont, showrunner of the breakout hit The Walking Dead has left the show after it started to get bogged down with a lot of controversy and heat from it’s network, AMC. Kurt Sutter, the creator of the hit FX show Sons of Anarchy took to his Twitter yesterday to talk about his cable-comrade and lay in thick on Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner and AMC. In a barage of several tweets, he said:
“why darabont got fired – weiner. he held AMC hostage, broke their bank, budgets were slashed, sh*t rolled down hill onto gilligan and frank. no one else wants to f*cking say it, but the greed of mad men is killing the other two best shows on tv — breaking terrible and walking dead.”
He’s probably not incorrect. Mad Men was given a hell of a lot of money to keep it on the air. At the time, everyone conceded it was worth it, but to sacrifice two other shows for it – is that really honest?
Honest doesn’t really matter too much to them, does it though? As always, television is ruled by ratings. If there are more people watching MM than WD, then that is where the money goes. Simple as that.
No one said making TV was simple.

Emmy Snub Makes Sons of Anarchy Creator Go On Twitter Rant
0Because when you want to complain about not getting nominated for something, going on a rant on Twitter is the simplest way to have to claim it was all a joke soon after.
The creator of Sons Of Anarchy even predicted he wouldn’t get nominated, but then the lack of nomination sent him into a hissyfit:
“if my mom and dad were alive this emmy snub would kill them. that’s not right, they were too ancient to know my show. just like the academy”
“FNL gives me hope. maybe S7 of SOA will get nominated — when the guys have all become doctors and lawyers who sing in a f***ing choir.”
Then he went directly after Glee:
“f**k glee. despise those annoying, ‘please accept me for who i am’, singing brats. there, i said it. are you pleased?”
Realizing what he said was probably not going to be received well, he tried to clarify:
“i like ryan murphy. he’s always very cool with me. like glee too. just tired of all the jizz piling up at its feet.”
Classy way of putting it.
But like we said, when you go on a tirade on Twitter, sooner or later you’ll probably have to apologize for it. In other words, just claim it was all a joke!
“you do know that i’m really okay with no noms right? if i was really upset, i wouldn’t be ranting. i’d be plotting. i’m all about the like.”
“those who got the joke, laughed. those who didn’t, published a tale. so sad that greedy media whores must turn excellent fun into nasty business.”
Not buying it. You can not like the other shows all you want, but publicly ranting about it is an simple way to make sure no seasons of your show get nominated. Especially when you call out the academy.

Jeff Zucker Couldn’t Get Kanye West For Son’s Bar Mitzvah

A boy’s bar mitzvah is a special day in that young man’s life and he deserves for it to be a very memorable day. But, it doesn’t have to be a day that costs your dad $ 1 million dollars for the entertainment, even if your day is Jeff Zucker, former NBC CEO.
Jeff’s son had really wanted Kanye West to play at his party on Friday night, but had to settle for Drake when Ye insisted he be paid $ 1 million dollars for the gig and his father turned the offer down. Still, even without Kanye’s melodies, the night was a huge success. We hear Drake was pretty incredible, the food was “tremendous” and as the guest left the swinging back at the Four Seasons, they were each given customized Converse sneakers as party favors.
Sure beats the hell out of LaffyTaffy and sticker books!

It’s a new man for Carey Mulligan!
She’s reportedly dating Mumford & Sons singer, Marcus Mumford, after the two were seen enjoying a romantic weekend together in Buckinghamshire, England.
“Marcus invited Carey to watch him play a secret show in the basement of his friend Mike Harris’s home in Nashville. She sat in the front row and while he was singing Marcus looked down at Carey and she blushed. It was clear they had chemistry.
Afterwards they went to the City House restaurant and dined with friends but they sat together and acted like a couple.”
It seems Carey has had several new flavors of the month since her split with Shia LaBeouf.
Will this one last?? We’ll just have to see…
