Miley Cyrus Tells Elle UK “It Seems Right to Be Wearing This Ring”

Miley Cyrus dominates the cover of Elle UK‘s June issue, which will be available on newsstands May 1. In the 10-page spread, the singer dons several edgy pieces from Saint Laurent, Fendi, Emilio Pucci, and Simone Rocha, all of which suit her blond Mohawk and showed tattoos. Miley has been hitting the studio hard amid rumors of relationship issues with fiancé Liam Hemsworth, despite flaunting her ring last week. Inside the issue, Miley opens up about the natural progression of her engagement, the decline of her social media presence, and her transition from childhood stardom. Here’s more from Miley in Elle UK:
- On her time as a child star: “I was just a baby! I had no teeth, no boobs. I was a small girl. It’s crazy that a choice you make when you’re a kid can affect your whole life – that someone would trust a child with her own future. It was just lucky that I was able to like it and turn it around.”
- On her engagement to Liam: “We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed. But we keep our relationship low-key and don’t talk about it anymore.”
- On why she stopped oversharing on social media: “We were too nice to the world and gave them too much insight – into my life and my puppies and my house – and I just don’t feel they get that privilege anymore. Like on my Twitter, I’m much more . . . not conservative, but you don’t see a picture of my dogs. You don’t get that personal stuff anymore.”

Miley Cyrus was in Arizona over the weekend and was spotted wearing a jeweled bauble of some sort on her ring finger.
She and boyfriend fiance?? Liam Hemsworth attended a charity event hosted by Muhammed Ali where they made absolutely no mention whatsoever about a possible engagement, but that doesn’t mean we’re still not going to question questions!
Pluuuuuuus, his film The Hunger Games just made $ 155 million over the weekend so if there’s any time to celebrate with a huge announcement, it’s now!

Awful! Gay Teen Suspended From High School For Wearing Make-up!

Check out this news report on 16-year-ancient Kasey Landrum, a gay teen from Tennessee who was suspended from Lexington High School for wearing eye make-up, even though other punk rock kids do the same with consequence (above)!
Thankfully, after the tale was caught wind of by The Tennessee Equality Project and LGBTQNation, Kasey’s suspension was reversed and a new school policy, allowing all students to wear make-up, was place into place!
As it should have been!
Unless there was a strict dress code in place, which there clearly wasn’t, these kids need the ability to express themselves and who they are, REGARDLESS of sexual preference!

Blake Lively Zips Around Town Wearing a Bikini in Her Red, Hot, Savage Ride

Blake Lively sported a bikini and a cover-up behind the wheel of a Mini Cooper in LA yesterday filming Oliver Stone’s Savages. On Monday, Blake and the crew shot at the Redondo Beach mall, but for her latest scenes she hit the open road wearing a two-piece top. Across the country her Gossip Girl costars have been shooting the fifth season, premiering September 26, but it’s another project centered in the Huge Apple that is stirring new rumors. Blake’s reportedly one of the names in the running for the Sex and the City prequels, and she’s allegedly being considered for the role of young Samantha with Selena Gomez, Emma Roberts, and Elizabeth Olsen rounding out the fabulous foursome. First up, Blake will be returning to the Toronto Film Festival for the second year in a row. In 2010 she helped bring Ben Affleck‘s The Town to the event and this time she’ll join the A-list crowd with her coming of age role in Hick. Between all her projects Blake still has time for her real-life leading man, Leonardo DiCaprio, and the two were spotted a Stevie Wonder concert at the Hollywood Bowl earlier this week.
